These values were instilled in the heart of our company by Bob Hapanowicz in 1989. He founded the business based on the principle that hard work and honesty are the key ingredients to anyone’s success.

Bob’s journey with Hapanowicz began over 30 years ago, driven by a passion to help individuals achieve their financial dreams. As founder, he’s delighted by the countless retirements, global adventures, and generational legacies his team has enabled.

Today, alongside his children, Bob witnesses his own dreams fulfilled, as they carry forward the Hapanowicz legacy. With a background at Advest, Inc. and accreditation as an AIF, Bob leads Hapanowicz as its Wealth Advisor, managing client relationships and crafting financial strategies.

His expertise, rooted in a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from Edinboro University, continues to shape the company’s success.

Bernard Carter, CFA® CFP®

Managing Director, Investments Wealth Advisor

As head of the Hapanowicz Investment Committee, Bernard leads the firm’s investment and portfolio management disciplines. He is responsible for the design and due diligence of the firm’s investment strategies, including asset allocation, risk management, and security selection.

Since joining the firm in 2012, Bernard has held several investment-related roles, including Investment Strategist. Bernard believes that every client should have a clear understanding of how their assets are invested, as well as the exact role their investment portfolio plays within their overall financial plan.

Bernard has more than 20 years of financial industry experience, including 13 years as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Washington and Jefferson College. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA® Society of Pittsburgh. He also holds a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.

Christina is a financial advisor and Managing Director of Financial Planning at Hapanowicz. She works with clients in managing their wealth to pursue their financial goals. Christina also works with fellow advisors at Hapanowicz to develop financial plans and situational analyses for clients. In addition to wealth management and financial planning, Christina leads the marketing and financial planning efforts at Hapanowicz.

Christina believes a straightforward, honest approach with clients helps them better understand their wealth management and how it relates to their goals. Most importantly, Christina is passionate about the connections and relationships that are built with clients of Hapanowicz and in making a meaningful impact in their lives.

Christina’s entire nine-year career in finance has been with Hapanowicz. She worked part-time at Hapanowicz throughout high school and college, transitioning to full-time after she graduated from Duquesne University in 2014.

Christina started out in office administration, then transitioned to client services before becoming a licensed advisor and working directly with clients. Throughout these transitions, she has developed an intimate understanding of all levels and aspects of the industry, which helps her tremendously in her work with clients today.
Christina is a licensed advisor and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Duquesne.

 

Bobby Hapanowicz, RICP®

Managing Director of Business Development

Bobby is a Wealth Advisor at Hapanowicz. He works in investment analysis and is responsible for investment strategy operations, as well as portfolio trading. Bobby enjoys the opportunity to get to know clients on a more personal level through working with fellow advisors in the financial planning process for clients.

Through this work, Bobby has come to believe that the right planning process can be empowering in one’s pursuit of their life goals.

Bobby has spent the entirety of his post-graduate career at Hapanowicz. While in college, he spent three summers working part-time as an associate of the firm, performing office administration and client service-related duties.

Bobby is a licensed advisor and maintains FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations. Bobby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Managerial Economics, with a concentration in Communication Arts, from Allegheny College.

Robert “Casey” Gibb, CFP®

Casey Gibb is a Wealth Advisor and Managing Director of Financial Planning at Hapanowicz. He has spent more than two decades with Hapanowicz and specializes in retirement income planning. He works to develop and implement financial plans that are specific to each client, as well as to their unique goals and objectives.

Prior to his work at Hapanowicz, he had 10 years of financial advisory work experience with Pittsburgh-based Federated Investors.

Casey is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a designation he has held since 1989. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics.

Casey enjoys spending time with his family, indoor cycling, and improving his golf game. He spends a lot of his time with his dog, Beau, who enjoys taking Casey for walks.

Eve is a Wealth Advisor in training at H&A. She enjoys getting to know the clients at H&A through the financial planning process. She is honored to be working for a family business that has trust, integrity, and hard work at its core.

Eve went to school for Finance and German language at Duquesne University. She worked for Aldi USA as a District Manager/Recruiter during and after college. Eve is most fulfilled by helping clients achieve their personal and financial goals so that they can maximize their earnings and hard work.

Eve enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time outdoors.

Cathy is most likely the friendly voice you hear on the other side of the phone when you call Hapanowicz! Her position on the team is all-encompassing, comprised of optimizing business processes within the Operations and Marketing departments. While Cathy has been with Hapanowicz for four years now, her entire career consists of extensive experience in administrative support and customer service. Cathy came out of retirement to join the Hapanowicz team, taking on her current position, allowing her to contribute to her overall sense of happiness, connectedness with others, and feeling of accomplishment.

As Chief Investment Officer, Andrew is responsible for leveraging Hapanowicz’s data, insights, and thought leadership and creating customized models and portfolios.

Andrew brings institutional-grade research into client portfolios.

Andrew previously spent time at Wells Fargo Asset Management, where he was responsible for manager selection and oversight of equity strategies. Before that, he was with Wilshire Associates and Cambridge Associates, respectively, employed as a Senior Associate at both firms.

With over 20 years of industry expertise, he has experience in a wide range of investing-related disciplines—including macroeconomics, fixed income, equities, manager selection, and more.

 

He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Ryan Blodgett is the Director of Operations, Retirement Plan Services at Hapanowicz. Ryan is responsible for maintaining operational productivity and efficiency throughout the office. His focus at Hapanowicz revolves around ensuring and maintaining compliance and providing outstanding client service. In his oversight of Hapanowicz operations, he continuously interacts with vendors, as well as LPL Financial. He also manages the administration of Hapanowicz’s qualified retirement plans.

Ryan believes that the strongest relationships develop by doing whatever it takes to make clients’ lives a little easier, and by always going the extra mile.

Ryan has more than 18 year of experience in financial operations, servicing both retail and institutional clients. Prior to working with Hapanowicz, Ryan worked for BNY Mellon as a manager in Asset Servicing.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Washington and Jefferson College.

Before working with Hapanowicz, she gained experience in Institutional Asset Management through interning at PNC Bank. Victoria holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Economics and Finance from Penn State Behrend.

Roman Day is an Associate Wealth Advisor with Hapanowicz. He specializes in creating and implementing customized financial strategies for wealth management, retirement planning, and tax efficiency. Roman strives to engage with clients to understand their personal and financial goals, combining both aspects into a successful strategy for the future.

Prior to joining Hapanowicz, Roman began his career in the industry with Pittsburgh-based Federated Hermes.

Roman has a Bachelor of Science from Grove City College. Roman is a licensed advisor holding current FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations.

As an intern returning full-time to Hapanowicz, Isaac is part of the Investments Committee and will work to help analyze the firm’s investment strategies as well as research potential replacements for assets that better maintain risk and return characteristics that are aligned with each client’s unique needs, goals, and risk tolerance. Isaac relishes the opportunity to aid in the process of helping others in their pursuit of financial peace of mind.

Isaac is a recent graduate of Penn State Behrend in which he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, a concurrent Bachelor of Science in Business Economics, and completed a concurrent minor in Management Information Systems. He is also currently a CFA Level 1 candidate.

Seth Skowronek

Seth Skowronek is an intern at Hapanowicz. He is an incoming senior at Penn State University majoring in Finance and minoring in Information Systems Management. He is also pursuing a Certificate in Real Estate Analysis & Development from the Smeal College of Business.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, lifting weights, and helping with his family’s landscaping and excavating business.
